FAQ & Registry

We’ve had some common questions popping up, so we thought we’d post the answers here in case other folks are wondering the same things.

Question:  Where are you registered?

Answer:  Amazon and Target

Question:  How much will we need to pay to stay in the cabins?

Answer:  Nothing!  We are inviting you to enjoy the camp facilities as our guests.

Question:  What are the cabins like?

Answer:  The cabins have simple twin beds, chairs, and end tables.  There are shared bathrooms with fully enclosed stalls for toilets and showers.  The cabins are also air conditioned, and they have ample electrical outlets.  There are windows with curtains.  Each cabin has a kitchenette with a fridge and stove.  They are very comfortable for families of all ages.  The cabins are divided into sections, but the sections are open to a shared hallway and the shared bathroom facilities. If we do need to put you into a cabin with another family, we’ll make sure to put you with people you know and like.

We recognize that each family’s needs are different.  Don’t hesitate to email or call if you have specific questions!

Question:  What do I need to bring?

Answer:

  • Bedding if you plan to stay in a cabin
    • Twin sheets, sleeping bag or blanket, pillow, and anything else you need to be comfortable.  The mattresses are 4 inch foam pads, so you may desire extra padding.  If you prefer an air mattress, feel free to bring one along.  Twin air mattresses fit perfectly on top of the beds.
    • Out of town guests who are flying in, fear not!  We know you won’t be able to fit bedding into a carry on. Let us know about your travel plans in advance and we can be sure to have a cozy bed ready for you upon arrival.
  • Umbrella and rain gear (we will have fun rain or shine!)
  • Personal clothing and toiletries
  • Any medicines or medications you need
  • Bathing suits, beach towels, sunscreen, flip flops, and swim goggles if desired
  • Lawn chairs if desired
  • Fan for white noise if desired
  • Flashlight if desired
  • Alarm clock if desired

We will have basic first aid available for those who need it.  We’ll also make sure your cabins have handsoap, paper towels, and a clothesline for drying bathings suits. Anything else you’re not sure about, feel free to call and we’ll clarify! (414) 708-9672

Question:  What is the dress code?

Answer:  We want you to be comfortable, so first and foremost dress for the weather. This is a camp, and we will move forward with the festivities rain or shine.  We recommend getting dressed up for the Ceremony and Reception, and staying casual for all the rest of the events.  That’s what we’ll be doing!

Question:  I’m not really into kayaking or other active camp activities.  Should I skip those events and come back later?

Answer:  We will also have a craft, some chairs set in scenic places for gabbing, board games and card games, etc.  Or, if you prefer, read a book or take a walk on your own for a little while!  If active is not your style, you’ll still find something fun to do.  That said, if you can’t make it to an event for any reason, no worries.  We’ll understand and we’ll be glad to see you for the events you’re able to attend.
